Home PageThe SSO has produced the podcast, SurgOnc Today, featuring conversations with individuals who are experts within their respective fields and are members of the Society’s Disease Site Work Groups. SSO supports the need for treatment decisions to be made on a case-by-case basis. The surgeon’s knowledge and understanding of the biology of each cancer, alternative treatment options, and the institution’s policies at the time the patient will be scheduled for surgery all need to be taken into consideration.

SSO collaborated with the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society for Radiation Oncology to develop,Management of Hereditary Breast Cancer: ASCO, ASTRO and SSO Guideline.The multidisciplinary, expert panel addressed 10 clinical practice questions in the guideline.
